Sitting under the screen tent at Travelers Woods New England campground in Bernardston, Massachusetts trying to catch up on trip posts. It's 10:18 local time and Mabel is in the camper snoozing in her bed. She has been wonderful on this trip and has proven to be a great travel partner. Mabel receives compliments ranging from "what a sweet , pretty dog", to "she is so mellow and well behaved" everywhere we go. She is the icebreaker and has helped start many conversations. There have been a few stressful spots on this trip and its nice to have her in the car; she keeps me calm. I would be lying if I said I didn't talk to her but she hasn't answered back... at least not yet, whow knows by day 50 we might be discussing Socrates.
We are so lucky to have two good dogs to fill our home and its all because of Sheri. She seems to have a knack of finding superb pets at The Golden Valley Humane Society www.animalhumanesociety.org. Make a visit, even If you are just thinking about getting an animal. We have had a number of rescues with no regrets.
The only issue with Mabel is that she sheds so much, it's like she's molting. And sge gets mad when you pull the tufts of loose hair.
